Jake's Cancer Journey

This is meant to be more of an occasionally updated, hey-this-is-how-things-are-going type of thing. My wife is writing it, and she's a far better writer than I am.

Hills and Valleys

After my diagnosis, I spoke to a lot of people, in real life and online. A cancer survivor I talked to said that one of the things that helped to keep him sane was writing a journal every day, just as sort of a way to keep track of what was going on, what he was thinking, et cetera ad nauseam. And I thought to myself, that's a great idea. I definitely need to make some sort of blog or website, tracking my whole journey, and all the random thoughts that pop into my head. Then, when four hundred people asked me to update them on how I was doing, I thought, well, I will be keeping a journal! Great! I can just tell them to check there!

Then I remembered that most people, when they ask you, "Hey, how are you doing?", they don't want you to respond with "Oh man, let me tell you! Drag up a rock and let's start talking!"

So I asked my wife to make a blog with small updates that most people would be interested in. And then, for people who might for some reason actually want to read my ramblings, they can check out my blog.
